Where It Started

In 2009, photography was just a hobby. Then I started learning portraiture, and it became a way of expressing myself. A portrait isn't a picture of a face. It's an hour spent with someone who trusted you enough to stand in front of your lens, and I met a lot of amazing people that way.

One shoot from those early years never left me. I photographed a long boarder on the trails in the Lethbridge coulees. It was challenging and exciting, and it's still the standard I measure a good day of shooting against.
