The Day of Reconciliation celebration at CASA Rotary Square

I came away from my first article feeling like I'd only covered what happened. I hadn't covered what it was.

The Day of Reconciliation celebration at CASA Rotary Square was built on a simple idea. Will Big Bull, Manager of Engagement at the Allied Arts Council, invited people to roll their own jingles, the small cones that make a jingle dress sing, and add them to a dress designed by Serene Weasel Traveller. Every person who took part left something of themselves in a garment that will carry their contribution for generations to come.

Nobody could do it alone. That's the part that stayed with me. Watching perfect strangers creating Jingles in their own unique way all laying out in harmony on the dress is truly inspiring to me.
