Before it was pourin’ craft beers at 310 6 Street South, the Telegraph Taphouse building was originally built in 1937 as Lethbridge’s Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) Telegraph Office.

During World War II, this exact spot was the local communication lifeline—where Telegrams were sent and received, connecting soldiers overseas with their families back home. It operated as a telegraph communications hub all the way through the late 1970s before eventually transforming into the iconic pub standard it is today.
